ONBOARD COMPUTER FOR PUMA AND TD5

Your dash gives you a needle. We're giving it a voice.

UF Command is an onboard computer for classic Defenders. It reads your engine, your tyres and your fault codes live, and tells you in plain English when something needs attention.

Not much of a conversation

A Defender is built to take you days from the nearest tar road. Its dash was built to tell you very little about how it's coping.

A needle that moves too lateThe temperature gauge only shifts after the damage is done, and it says nothing about whether there is coolant in the system at all.
A fuel gauge that guessesMore of a suggestion than a measurement, and no idea how far the tank will actually take you.
A light that never says whatThe engine warning light tells you something is wrong. Reading the code behind it normally takes a diagnostic tool.

In the cab, live, while you drive

UF Command plugs into your Defender's diagnostic port, adds its own sensors, and puts what matters on a small display in your line of sight.

Coolant you can see

A leak won’t necessarily move the temperature needle. UF Command watches the coolant level too, and warns you the moment it drops.

Tyre pressure and temperature screens on the Puma and Td5 displays

Every tyre, every corner

Pressure and temperature for all four tyres and the spare, with how recently each sensor reported. A slow leak shows up as a falling number long before you’d feel it.

Fault code screens on the Puma and Td5 displays

Fault codes in plain English

When the engine light comes on, UF Command reads the code and tells you what it means, at the roadside, without a laptop.

Music playing on the Puma and Td5 displays

Calls and media in your line of sight

Who’s calling and what’s playing, shown on the display, so your eyes stay on the road instead of on your phone.

Warnings are graded

Nothing in between to ignore.

AMBERPay attention. The reading changes colour where it sits, so you see it without losing the rest of the screen.
REDStop. The whole screen takes over and says what's wrong and what to do about it.

Built for where Defenders actually go

UF Command records every journey on the device itself, no signal needed. Bush, lodge, Lesotho pass, it doesn't matter. When you're back on Wi-Fi or your phone's data returns, it syncs to the cloud.

UF Companion app: journey replay with route map
IOS AND ANDROID MOBILE APP

Every reading your Defender has ever taken

Journeys with route maps, service history and tyre lifecycle, in the owner's app.

Fill up and UF Command notices. Your phone asks you to confirm the refill, price and mileage, so your fuel spend keeps itself.

The record belongs to the vehicle, not to you. If your Defender changes hands, its history goes with it. Provenance, finally, for a car that's always deserved it.

Why we're building it

We rebuild Defenders for a living. Almost every serious failure we see started small and quiet: a slow coolant loss, an EGT that crept up over a season, a fault code nobody read.

UF Command exists so that the car tells you first, and so that twenty years from now its history is not a mystery.

Questions

When can I get one?

UF Command arrives in 2027. Everyone on the early-interest list hears about launch timing and how to order before anyone else.

How much will it cost?

Pricing hasn’t been announced yet. List members get it first, before it’s published anywhere else.

Which Defenders does it fit?

Classic Defenders with the Td5 or the Puma (2.4 and 2.2 TDCi) engine. Each has its own display designed for its dash.

Does it replace my instruments?

No. Your original gauges and warning lights keep working. UF Command adds the information they don’t give you.

Do I need phone signal or the app?

No. The display works on its own and records every journey on the device. The UF Companion app adds history, route maps and sync when you have a connection.

Do I need UF Command to use UF Companion?

No. Each works on its own. UF Companion keeps your Defender’s service history, records and provenance with or without UF Command. Use both, and journeys, tyre readings and fault codes from UF Command flow into UF Companion automatically. More about UF Companion.

Can it clear fault codes?

Yes. It reads stored codes in plain English and can clear them with the engine off, after a confirmation step.

What happens to the data if I sell my Defender?

The record belongs to the vehicle. The new owner gets its full history: journeys, service and tyre records.

I run a fleet or a lodge. Is it for me?

Yes. UF Companion Web shows alerts, service due and workshop updates across every vehicle, and can track engine hours alongside kilometres.
